miller woods

Owned and operated by the Yamhill Soil & Water Conservation District, Miller Woods is 130 acres of forest and grasslands used as an educational venue that provides a wide array of outdoor experiences.

The pavilion structure’s timber framing had rotted so Solid Carbon co-founder John Mead suggested using a concrete slab for more resiliency and of course, sustainability. Another joint effort among many partners, the project used the same mix as the HIOP grant research product and was poured with a wash slab to make cleaning flower pots easier.
